[Video] Coding Weekly #4: Building a Form

For this weekly coding session I am joined by Troy Elliott from here at Data Mosaic. Troy is a well known wizard at form work and I thought it would be helpful to spend a few minutes watching him go about the task of building up a user interface form.

As Troy goes about his task, I talk about 5 simple steps you can employ to create more effective user interfaces:

1 Organize your data
2 Choose a focus for your form
3 Start with a form pattern
4 Copy material from other forms
5 Use style sheets

This won't guarantee that your UI will be "pretty", but it will ensure that you are consistent, organized and efficient. Not always easy things when you are confronted with a blank canvas as your starting point!
